Men's Soccer Defeated by Dowling

BLOOMSBURG - The Bloomsburg University Men's Soccer team suffered a tough loss Saturday afternoon, 2-0 to sixth-ranked Dowling College.

Michael Nicolini and Junior Laurencin both scored goals for Dowling, the defending Division II National Champions. Laurencin struck first when he headed in a crossing kick from Nicolini past the outstretched arms of Jon Keller (Clarks Summit/Abington Heights) 13 minutes into the first half. Nicolini would strike again with an unassisted goal at the 73 minute mark.

The Huskies, who struggled offensively most of the day, were led by Christian Rota (Langhorne/Neshaminy), who had the only two shots for the Huskies. Keller finished the day with five saves on seven shots.

The Huskies return to action on Tuesday night when they host Kutztown. Kickoff is set for 7:30 PM.
