BLOOMSBURG—The Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania Department of Nursing donated personal protection equipment (PPE) to two local hospitals during this health crisis.

From BU’s nursing department, Geisinger Bloomsburg and Evangelical Hospital each received approximately 60 N95 masks; 10 face shields; and sterile gloves, including 50 pair of size 7 and 7.5, 25 pair of size 8, and about 30 pair of medium size. The department, chaired by Susan Fetterman, also donated 14 boxes of medium, large and extra-large non-sterile gloves to both Geisinger Bloomsburg and to Geisinger Medical Center.

“We have all heard about the shortages nationwide of these items and we are doing what we can to assist our local facilities,” said Fetterman. “Every little bit helps at this time.”
