Council of Trustees held quarterly meeting

BLOOMSBURG— Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania’s Council of Trustees held its quarterly meeting on Wednesday, March 7, 2019 and approved the proposed housing and dining fee as well as the proposed fee schedule.

Housing fees will increase $63 for a double, air-conditioned room, and $82 for an apartment, while board will increase $33 based on a 14-meal plan with $250 in FLEX option. There will be no increase in mandatory fees, while fees for technology tuition and academic enhancement are still to be determined.

During the meeting, the Trustees also approved the purchasing activity under Act 188.

In addition, President Bashar Hanna granted faculty emeritus status to Neal Slone, from the Department of Sociology, Social Welfare and Criminal Justice. Also, Mark Raynes was granted manager emeritus status, while Patricia Stockalis and Susan Melchiorre were granted non-instructional emeritus status.
