Council of Trustees hold quarterly meeting

<p>BLOOMSBURG—Bloomsburg University’s Council of Trustees held its quarterly meeting on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 approving the system-financed renovation of the Kehr Union Building’s heating, ventilation, and air conditioning unit (HVAC) as well as a Child Life Specialist certificate.</p>

<p>Also, during the meeting, the Trustees:</p>

    <li>Approved the review of negotiated or awarded contracts/purchases in amounts less than $10,000 to the vice president of administration and finance for annual renewal.</li>
    <li>Approved resolution certifying the Bloomsburg University Foundation’s, Community Government Association, Inc.’s and Husky Research Corporation, Inc.’s compliance with Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education and Board of Governors’ policies.</li>
    <li>Approved the 2017-18 Audit Report and</li>
    <li>Approved the Capital Project Request for the renovation of McCormick Hall and the facilities maintenance building relocation project.</li>

<p>In addition, President Bashar Hanna granted faculty emeritus status to: Ralph Feather, Jr, Department of Teaching and Learning; Raymond Pastore, Ph.D., Department of Teaching and Learning; Zahira Khan, Ph.D., Department of Mathematical and Digital Sciences; and Michelle Ficca, Ph.D., Department of Nursing. Also, non-instructional emeritus status was granted to Mary Amick, Department of Nursing.</p>
