BLOOMSBURG—The eighth annual Zeigler Institute for Professional Development (ZIPD) Business Conference will be held at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania on Nov. 8-9, 2018. The theme of this year’s conference is “Engagement, Innovation and Impact.”
Delivering the keynote address is Jim Hanna, director of datacenter community development at Microsoft Corporation on Thursday, Nov. 8 at 3:30 p.m. in the Kehr Union Building.
In addition, ZED Talks (modeled after the TED Talks program) will be held on Nov. 8 from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in the Kehr Union Building, room 231 Hideaway. Five successful business professionals provide inspirational wisdom centered around the 2018 ZIPD Business Conference theme.
Presenting will be the ZED Talk sponsor Greg Bowden, owner and senior financial advisor for the Princeton Group, part of the Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network along with Chrystal Skotedis, Principal, Boyer & Ritter LLC; David E. Coffman, President/CEO, Business Valuations & Strategies PC; Jeffrey Naugle, Associate Partner, Tenacity Inc.; and Patty Price, Coordinator, WebFX.
Bowden will speak on “The Husky Impact: The Grit and Desire to Succeed,”, while Skotedis’ topic is “Set FIRE to Your Story: Tools to Ignite Your Path.” Coffman will discuss “Pursuit of Success,” with Naugle’s topic is “Be Brave,” creating a synergy for success; while Price will address how to “Exercise Your Innovation.”
The ZIPD Business Conference gives students opportunities to learn about real-life business scenarios from professionals, most of whom are BU alumni. Presenters share their experiences via presentations, panel discussions, workshops and networking activities to help students become more confident and better prepared professionals with a competitive edge in the job market upon graduation.
