Grammy Award-winning jazz hits CAS

BLOOMSBURG — Grammy Award-winning jazz singer and interpreter Luciana Souza will perform with Brazilian guitarist Romero Lubambo in Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania’s Carver Hall, Kenneth S. Gross Auditorium, on Sunday, Feb. 17, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the Celebrity Artist Series performance cost $29.50 for adults, $16.50 for children and $14 for BU students.

Having recorded more than 200 jingles and soundtracks, Luciana Souza is a veteran of the today’s jazz scene. Since 2002, Souza released six Grammy-nominated albums for Best Jazz Vocal Record and Best Jazz Record. Her singing has been called “transcendental, perfect and of unparalleled beauty,” and Entertainment Weekly said, “Her voice traces a landscape of emotion that knows no boundaries.”
