BLOOMSBURG — Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania is offering a free, 10-week GRE preparation program through Friday, Nov. 18. The class is available to current students, alumni, faculty, staff and members of the Bloomsburg community. No registration is required for the course.
The course will be held in two sections:
- Verbal Section reviews, Thursdays from 5 to 6 p.m. and Fridays from 2 to 3 p.m. in McCormick Center, room 2149.
- Quantitative Section reviews, Tuesdays from 5 to 6 p.m. in McCormick Center, room 2148 and Thursdays from 2 to 3 p.m. in McCormick Center, room 2149.
Two computerized practice tests for the GRE will be held Saturday, Sept. 17, and Saturday, Oct. 8, beginning at 10 a.m. with a $10 fee. Registration is required and can be completed Tuesdays from 1 to 3 p.m. and Fridays from noon to 2 p.m. in McCormick, room 2155. Enrollment is limited for the practice tests.
The GRE, or Graduate Record Examinations, is the standardized test required for admission into many graduate schools. BU's preparation program is sponsored by a Presidential Strategic Initiative Grant.
