BLOOMSBURG — Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania is offering an English as a Second Language (ESL) course during the second summer session, running Monday, July 7, to Tuesday, Aug. 13. The class will meet Monday through Friday, and is open to degree and non-degree students.
“There are more and more people who are coming to BU and the community who need an ESL course,” said Irvin Wright, assistant to the provost and vice president for academic affairs. “The course is designed to accommodate the level of readiness for the participant.”
Wright said the course is open to anyone who wants to increase proficiency in spoken English. Participants who are not currently enrolled as BU students must complete the non-degree application at website or contact the Academic Advisement Center at (570) 389-4003. Standard tuition and fees will be charged.
Bloomsburg University is one of 14 universities in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. The university serves approximately 9,000 students, offering comprehensive programs of study in the colleges of Education, Business, Liberal Arts and Science and Technology.
