BLOOMSBURG — More than 100 Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania students will be featured in the BU Dance Ensemble's Fall Showcase Sunday, Nov. 15, at 7 p.m. in the Kehr Union Ballroom. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
BU's Dance Ensemble, the university's largest student-run organization, will perform African, hip-hop, modern, country couples, Irish soft and hard, jazz, ballet, country, Latin, musical theater, lyrical and tap. The dancers have been practicing every week since September for the first fall showcase and will preview some of the dance styles for the annual spring show.
"I am excited about the showcase, because the dance ensemble has come so far and this is another milestone," said Anna Katz, a sophomore mass communications major from Altoona and a student dancer for the lyrical jazz class and competition team.
"I am not only participating in the actual show, I am working behind the scenes, so I get to experience all aspects of the first-ever fall dance show," she said. "It has taken a lot of work since September to put on a great performance."
