BLOOMSBURG—The BU Chamber Singers and the University-Community Orchestra will present Poinsettia Pops, a concert of seasonal songs, as a part of Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania’s 2006-07 Celebrity Artist Series. The performance will be offered Friday, Dec. 1, at 7 p.m. in Haas Center for the Arts, Mitrani Hall.
The annual family-oriented program will include a carol sing-along. The concert is a free gift to the community from BU and Celebrity Artist Series sponsors, but tickets are required. The BU Chamber Singers is a group of 16 students who sing a variety of music. The group performs for high schools, conventions, and television, radio and campus concerts. They have toured London, Scotland, Amsterdam, Paris, Brussels and Japan. The University-Community Orchestra is comprised of student and area musicians. Performances include annual fall and spring concerts, an educational concert for school children and the Columbia Mall Concert.
