Representatives of Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania’s Class of 2002 will dedicate a class gift to commemorate the events of Sept. 11 during a ceremony at Redman Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 9, at 12:30 p.m., rescheduled from the original time, 12:45.
Three flagpoles have been installed to represent the locations of the terrorist attacks on New York, Washington, D.C., and western Pennsylvania. The U.S., Pennsylvania and university flags will be raised during the ceremony by Class of 2002 officers and BU President Jessica Kozloff.
Also planned for Saturday, Sept. 9, are the dedication of BU’s new multipurpose stadium at 6:45 p.m., a field hockey game against Mansfield University at 7 p.m., football game against the California University of Pennsylvania Vulcans at 1 p.m., men’s soccer at noon, women’s soccer at 2 p.m. and an alumni field hockey game at 2:30 p.m.
Bloomsburg University is one of 14 universities in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. The university serves approximately 8,000 students, offering comprehensive programs of study in the colleges of Professional Studies, Business, Liberal Arts and Science and Technology.
