Martin selected as Bloomsburg University College of Business Dean

BLOOMSBURG—David G. Martin, a former professor at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, is returning as the university's dean of the College of Business.

Martin, who begins his duties Monday, June 12, was a faculty member at Bloomsburg from 1992 to 2001. At Bloomsburg he was an associate professor of finance and business law. served as chair of the finance department and served as coordinator of the masters of business administration program.

"I am delighted to return to Bloomsburg University. It is a wonderful institution that focuses on producing a great educational environment for students and faculty," said Martin. "The College of Business has made tremendous progress as evidenced by its earning the prestigious AACSB International accreditation. I am proud to have been selected to lead this group of dedicated professionals."

Martin returns to Bloomsburg after serving as the dean of the College of Business at Alfred University. He was director of the William G. McGowan School of Business and professor of finance at King's College from 2001 to 2004. 

Martin earned his doctoral degree in finance at St. Louis University, a master's in business administration at Western Illinois University and a bachelor of arts in history at C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University.
