BLOOMSBURG— Members of the community are invited to attend Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania’s “Women: Builders of Communities and Dreams” Thursday, March 23, at 3:30 p.m. in the Kehr Union Ballroom, presented by BU’s Commission on the Status of Women. The program is open to the public free of charge.
A reception in honor of Women’s History Month is planned, featuring a KeyArts Production of “Herstory” at 4:45 p.m. Outstanding women of BU also will be recognized and light refreshments will be provided.
“Herstory” is a narrative musical that looks back at the roles women have played in history. Different eras will be highlighted and songs will be performed to pay tribute to women who have been pioneers, such as scientists, activists and educators.
