Pinocchio Comes To BU As Part Of Celebrity Artist Series

BLOOMSBURG—The Enchantment Theatre Company of Philadelphia will present the story of Pinocchio, a puppet who longs to be a real boy, as a part of Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania’s 2005-06 Celebrity Artist Series. The curtain will rise on this show for the entire family Friday, Nov. 4, at 7 p.m. in Haas Center for the Arts, Mitrani Hall.

Founded in 1978, The Enchantment Theater Company has toured all over the world with its original productions for young audiences and their families. The theatrical company focuses on creating family productions characterized by a blend of magic, mask, pantomime, puppetry and original music.

Tickets for this performance, supported by Pennsylvania Performing Arts on Tour, are $8 per child and adults ages 18 and older will be admitted free when accompanying one or more children.

Bloomsburg University is one of 14 universities in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. The university serves approximately 8,000 students and offers 65 bachelor’s, 18 master’s and one doctoral degree.
