BLOOMSBURG— The Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania Chamber Orchestra will perform Sunday, March 20, at 2:30 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Main and Iron streets.
The program will include performances of Bach’s Symphony No. 1 in D Major and his Arioso from Kantate Nr. 156, Hovhaness’ Psalm and Fugue, Op. 40a, and Haydn’s Concerto for Organ and Orchestra in C.
The Chamber Orchestra is directed by Mark R. Jelinek and will feature organ soloist William Decker. Jelinek is chairperson of BU's department of music. Decker holds a D.M.A. from Temple University and has prepared choruses for the Pittsburgh Symphony and the Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic.
