Men's Cross Country Finishes Fifth at NCAA Regionals
BLOOMSBURG- The Bloomsburg University men's cross country team finished in fifth place at the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Championships on Saturday at Mansfield University. The Huskies finished with 185 points on the 10k course while regional champion Shippensburg had 39.
Senior Misha Litvinov (Drums/Hazelton Area) was the top Bloomsburg finisher, coming in 17th overall with a time of 32:22. Sophomore Bobby Furman (Broomall/Maple Newtown) was close behind with a time of 32:34, good for 21st.
Sophomore David Moyer (Boyertown/Boyertown) and junior Jared Arnold (Philadelphia/Engineering & Science) were the Huskies next two finishers, coming in with times of 33:14 and 34:14, respectively.
Freshman Brent Balmer (Lebanon/Cedar Crest) was the Huskies fifth finisher, crossing in 34:20. Senior Ryan Evans (Mechanicsburg/Mechanicsburg) was next, finishing with a time of 34:32. Freshman Sam Wisniewski (Lititz/Warwick) rounded out Bloomsburg's seven runners, coming in with a time of 35:30.
The Huskies finish the season with two straight top five finishes, also earning fifth place at the PSAC Championships last weekend.
