Bloomsburg Cross Country Ranked Regionally

BLOOMSBURG -- The Bloomsburg University Cross-Country teams are ranked regionally in the 2007 USTFCCCA Division II Men's and Women's Regional XC Rankings this week.

On the women's side, the Huskies are ranked second in the East Region. The Huskies are coming off a strong performance at the Penn State National Invitational, where they finished 20th out of 25 teams. With two of the top runners out with an injuries, the Huskies received stellar performances from sophomore Andrea Kellock (Lansdale/North Penn) who finished 81st overall, and by Beth Schwing (Hershey/Lower Dauphin), who finished 101st.

The men are ranked 5th overall in the Eastern Region, and had several strong individual performances at the Penn State Invitational. Sophomore Misha Litvinov (Drums/Hazleton Area) finished in the top 125, running the course in 28:09. Dan Tallarico (Pittsburgh/North Hills) and Jimmy Stockley (Elverson/Twin Valley) also ran well, both finishing in the top 160.

The Huskies return to action on Saturday when they participate in the Elizabethtown (Pa) College Invitational.
