BLOOMSBURG- Dianna Smith (West Grove/ Avon Grove) has been named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Women's Swimmer of the Week for the period ending December 3rd.
Smith had a strong showing at the Akron Invitational qualifying for the NCAA Championships in the 200-free and establishing new school records in the 50-free and 100-free.
Competing against a predominantly Division I field, she finished fifth while recording an "A" cut time in the 200-free (1:53.90) event. Smith swam the 50-free in a time 24.44, breaking the school record of 24.59 she set last season and she swam the 100-free in a time of 52.77 also breaking her old school record of 52.90.
The Huskies, 4-0, are idle until January 4th when they will swim at the Port Orange Invitational at noon.
