Bloomsburg Women's Soccer Scores 6-0 Win over Charleston

BLOOMSBURG -The Bloomsburg University women's soccer team defeated the University of Charleston 6-0 on Saturday afternoon at Sports Stadium.

The Huskies started the first half strong with Kelsey Stoka (Langhorne/Neshaminy) scoring just 12 minutes into the game. Bloomsburg kept momentum later into the half scoring three straight goals. Samantha Fox (Southampton/William Tennet) scored off an assist from Kelly Modes (Langhorne/Neshaminy). Kim Turner (Walnutport/Northampton) followed up with a goal only three minutes later. Fox would keep the Huskies going scoring once more after just one minute of play.

In the second half, Eileen Alexander (East Northport, NY/Commack) scored the Huskies fifth goal of the game only 10 minutes in. Katie Walczuk (Long Valley, NJ/West Morris Central) scored off a header for the final goal of the game.

The Huskies now 4-5-2, 3-3-1 PSAC East host Millersville October 6. Game time is set for 6:00 p.m.
