Matt Moley Drops Match at the NWCA All-Star Classic
FULLERTON, CA- Bloomsburg University wrestler Matt Moley (Phoenixville/Spring-Ford) dropped his match at the 44th annual NWCA (National Wrestling Coaches Association) All-Star Classic on Sunday in Fullerton, CA.
Wrestling front of a standing room only crowd of 4,000 at Cal State Fullerton, Moley, ranked fifth, faced top-ranked Jordan Burroughs of Nebraska in the 157-pound bout.
Burroughs led 2-1 after one period getting a takedown before Moley escaped. The only scoring of the second period came when Burroughs, the defending NCAA champion, escaped after Moley took top to start. In the third Burroughs picked up two takedowns and a three-point near fall to Moley's three escapes to post the 10-4 victory.
Moley, who needs just one more win to reach 100 for his career, and the rest of his teammates return to action on Saturday at the Northeast Duals in Albany, NY.
