Bloomsburg University Wrestlers Ranked;BU Duals This Weekend

BLOOMSBURG--Five Bloomsburg University wrestlers are ranked nationally according to two publications.

Ranked 10th by Intermat/USA Today and the Wrestling Report is Matt Moley (Phoenixville/Spring-Ford), while according to the Wrestling Report Ian Moser (Dover, DE/Caesar Rodney) is ranked 22nd at 125 pounds, Jason Guffey (Muncy/Warrior Run) 26th at 133 pounds, George Hickman (Castle Hayne, NC/Riverside) 33rd at 149 pounds and Rick Schmelyun (New Oxford/Bermudian Springs) 18th at 165 pounds.

Moley is coming off a second place finish at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) championships and is 13-3 on the season. Moser and Guffey, who both finished third at the PSAC championships, are 10-6 and 14-6 respectively on the season.

Hickman, a second place finisher at PSACs, makes his first appearance in the national rankings and is 12-6 for the year. Schmelyun, also second at the PSAC championships, is 14-7 on the season.

Bloomsburg will make its first home appearance of the season on Saturday hosting the Bloomsburg Duals. Action gets underway at 9 a.m. at the Nelson Field House with Bloomsburg taking on Sacred Heart and East Stroudsburg facing the University at Buffalo. At 11 a.m. Bloomsburg takes on East Stroudsburg with Buffalo facing Sacred Heart. At 1 p.m. Bloomsburg takes on Buffalo and Sacred Heart faces East Stroudsburg.
