BLOOMSBURG- Bloomsburg University wrestlers Mike Spaid (Upper Perkiomen/ Boyertown) and Mike Sees (Northumberland/ Shikellamy) are ranked nationally in the USA Today/ NWCA/ Intermat final Division I poll of the season. Sees is ranked 11 at 125 pounds, while Spaid is ranked ninth at 285 pounds.
Spaid, a junior, moves up two spots from 11 after capturing his second straight EWL Championship last weekend. Spaid holds a 19 match winning-streak dating back to December 3. He has a 32-5 record and ranks second in the PSAC with 14 pins.
Sees, a junior, has been ranked 11th for three consecutive weeks. He has a 29-5 record this season, with nine major decisions, four technical falls, and five pins. Earlier this season, Sees captured his second consecutive PSAC championship and also picked up second place finishes at the EWL Championships and the Oklahoma Gold Classic.
Spaid and Sees will wrestle at the NCAA Division I National Championships to be held March 15-17 in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Both are making their third consecutive trip to the NCAA's.
