Bloomsburg's Moley Named PSAC Rookie of the Year in Wrestling

BLOOMSBURG- Bloomsburg University wrestler Matt Moley (Phoenixville/Spring-Ford) was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Rookie of the Year.

Moley, a 149-pound freshman, capped his first collegiate season by earning a trip to the NCAA Tournament where he went 2-2. Earlier in the season, he placed second at the Oklahoma Gold Tournament, the Navy Classic, and the PSAC Championships. Moley also grabbed a fourth-place finish at the 2007 EWL Tournament, along with a wild card selection to the NCAA's.

Overall, Moley finished his 2006-07 campaign with a record of 27-14 including six major decisions, one technical fall and seven pins. In addition to earning the PSAC award, he was also named Eastern Wrestling League (EWL) Rookie of the Year.

"Matt is a very talented freshman who has a bright future," Stutzman added. "After going 2-2 at the NCAA's I feel next year he can make a push to become an All-American/National Champion."
