Gallagher Named PSAC East Freshman of the Week For Eighth Time

BLOOMSBURG-- Bloomsburg University women's basketball player Kelsey Gallagher (East Stroudsburg/East Stroudsburg South) has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Freshman of the Week for the period ending February 28.

For Gallagher it was the eighth time this season she has been honored by the PSAC as the Freshman of the Week. In two games last week Gallagher averaged 14.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and three assists per game in a 1-1 week for the Huskies. She scoreed 19 points with four rebounds and four assists in a win over Mansfield, then scored 10 points with five rebounds and two assists against Kutztown.

For the year, Gallagher lead the Huskies in scoring with 15.4 points per game; assists with 3.55 per game; steals with 2.2 per game; and made three-pointers with 60. She was also second in rebounding with 5.0 per game and field goal percentage with a mark of 40.8 percent. She also averaged a team-high 37 minutes per game.

The Huskies finished the year with a record off 11-16.
