BLOOMSBURG- Bloomsburg University women's basketball players Colleen Kegerreis (Schuylkill Haven/ Schuylkill Haven) and Gabe Miskinis (Lewistown/ Lewistown) have been named to the 2006-07 All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division teams. Kegerreis was named to the first team, while Miskinis was named to the second team.
Kegerreis, a sophomore center, led the Huskies in several categories including points per game (14.1), rebounds per game (8.6), field goal percentage (.506) and blocked shots (44). She ranked fourth in the PSAC in blocks, seventh in rebounding average and ninth in scoring average. She scored in double figures in 22 of 26 games and recorded 11 double-doubles this season. In just two years, Kegerreis already ranks ninth all-time in blocked shots at Bloomsburg with 67. Her best game of the season came in the season opener, when she scored 25 points on 7-11 shooting and grabbed 11 boards to lead Bloomsburg to a 97-49 win over Penn State-Hazleton.
Miskinis, a senior forward, led the team in three pointers (39), free throw percentage (.831) and steals (33) and was second on the team in points per game (12.8), rebounds per game (6.8) assists per game (2.6) and field goal percentage (.435). Miskinis also ranked third in the PSAC in free throw percentage, ninth in three-point field goal percentage, 14th in rebounding and 15th in scoring. In addition, her 85 career three-point field goals ranks 10th all-time at Bloomsburg.
In her final game of he career, Miskinis put together a memorable performance, scoring 25 points, grabbing 12 rebounds and dishing out eight assists, all while hitting the game-winning three pointer with under a minute to play in a 72-69 win over Mansfield.
The Huskies finished the 2006-07 season with a record of 7-20, 3-9 in the PSAC East.
