BU Tennis Teams Roll Past University of Scranton

BLOOMSBURG-- The Bloomsburg University men's and women's tennis teams opened the dual meet portion of their seasons with wins on Wednesday night.

The men beat the University of Scranton by an 8-1 score to give coach Marty Coyne his 200th win as head coach of the men's team. Bloomsburg rolled through doubles action winning all three matches, then earned wins in five of the six singles matches. Senior Ryan Glubo (Old Bridge, NJ/Old Bridge) was one of four players to be two-time winners.

On the women's side, the Huskies posted a 9-0 win over the Lady Royals. Bloomsburg won all three doubles matches, including number one and three by 8-0 scores.

In singles action, Laura Sullivan (Dingman's Ferry/Delaware Valley) at number three, Andrea Malatesta (Berwick/Berwick) at number five and Sarah Fisher (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill West) at number six each won by scores of 6-0, 6-0.
