Huskies Picked to Finish First in PSAC East Softball
BLOOMSBURG- The softball coaches from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) have picked the Bloomsburg University softball team to finish first in the PSAC Eastern Division this season
Bloomsburg returns sixteen players to a squad that finished as the PSAC East regular season champion with an 18-6 record, 38-17 overall. The Huskies advanced to the NCAA Division II tournament for the 24th consecutive year, losing in the Mid-Atlantic Region championship game to eventual national champion Lock Haven.
Rounding out the rest of the division was Shippensburg, Kutztown, East Stroudsburg, Millersville, Mansfield and West Chester respectively.
In the PSAC West, Lock Haven is the favorite to win followed by California (PA), Indiana (PA), Slippery Rock, Edinboro, and Clarion.
The Huskies, 7-4 this season, begin their conference schedule on March 30 when they host Shippensburg. On Thursday, the Huskies will visit Goldey-Beacom College (DE) at 3:30 p.m.
