Ashley Lynn Named PSAC East Player of the Week

BLOOMSBURG-- Bloomsburg University softball standout Ashley Lynn (Riverside/Danville) has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Player fo the Week for the period ending April 22.

Lynn was 5-for-10 (.500) for the Huskies last week in eight games with one run scored and an RBI. The junior also excelled on the mound as she went 3-1 with a 1.25 ERA in 28.0 innings for Bloomsburg. Lynn had four complete games, earned a save, allowed just16 hits and five runs, including just one in her final 21 1/3 innings. She posted 39 strikeouts with 10 of those coming in a no-hitter against Mansfield.

For the season, Lynn is 15-3 with a 1.57 ERA. She has 14 complete games, four shutouts and a save on the season. She also leads the team in strikeouts with 141 in just 111 innings of work. She pitched a perfect game earlier in the year against Johnson C. Smith College.

Lynn was also named the PSAC East Pitcher of the Week back on April 1.
