Sanow, Cleary to Talk Huskies Basketball at Bennigan's

BLOOMSBURG- Bloomsburg University head men's basketball coach John Sanow and head women's basketball coach Bill Cleary will be talking Huskies basketball on Thursday, January 7 at the Bennigan's on Route 11 in Bloomsburg. Start time will be 6:30 p.m. and everyone is invited to come and participate.

The men's team is out to a 6-4 start, including a 64-59 come-from-behind victory over Edinboro on Sunday. Four players are averaging double-figures for the Huskies, including senior guard Ruben Britt (Voorhees, NJ/Eastern Regional) who scored a career-high 30 points against the Fighting Scots. The women's team is off to an 8-2 start, its best since 2001-02 when the Huskies started 9-1 and finished 21-6, advancing to the quarterfinals of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Tournament. Bloomsburg features a starting lineup that includes four freshmen, led by sophomore guard Kelsey Gallagher (East Stroudsburg/East Stroudsburg South) who has won two PSAC East Player of the Week awards so far this season.

Both teams travel to play Gannon on Saturday and Clarion on Sunday. Tip-off for the women is 1:00 p.m. while the men are at 3:00 p.m.
