Carinci Earns Women's Lacrosse PSAC Player of the Week
BLOOMSBURG—Bloomsburg University lacrosse player, Georgia Carinci (Springmount/Conwell Egan) has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week. She joins teammate Sheila Zilinski as Bloomsburg's winners of the award for this year.
Carinci, a junior forward, led Bloomsburg to four wins over a four-day span by scoring 12 goals and 11 assists, including four goals and three assists in an overtime win against Gannon, and three goals and four assists in a 14-10 victory over Mercyhurst.
On the season, Carinci leads Bloomsburg with 32 points, including 18 goals, and 14 assists.
As a team, the Huskies are 8-1, 2-0 in PSAC play. The team will finish up the regular season with three PSAC games against Shippensburg at home, and at Millersville and West Chester.
