Bloomsburg's Riley Leads PSAC in Two Scoring Categories
BLOOMSBURG-Bloomsburg University field hockey sophomore Amanda Riley (Tannersville/Pocono Mountain East) leads the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) in points and goals, through games of September 15.
Riley has scored 11 goals and has 23 points for the three-time defending national champion Huskies in 2009. She scored 12 goals and had 26 points all of last season. Riley has scored two goals in five of Bloomsburg's seven games this year, including each of the past three games, all won by the Huskies. She also ranks third in all of Division II with 1.57 goals per game.
As a team, the Huskies lead the nation in scoring average (5.71) and are second in goals against average (0.57).
Bloomsburg (6-1), the number two team in the country according to the latest Kookaburra/NFHCA Division II Poll, will host Indiana (PA) this Saturday at noon in Sports Stadium.
