Bloomsburg Field Hockey Sends Six to All-Star Game
BLOOMSBURG-Six players from the Bloomsburg University field hockey team have been selected to play in the 2009 NFHCA Division II North/South Senior All-Star Game in at Wake Forest University. Breanne Tobin (Perkasie/Pennridge), Maggey Bloskey (Danville/Danville), Erin Hench (Loysville/West Perry), Chelsea Due (Pen Argyl/Pen Argyl), Aubrey Carman (Dallastown/Dallastown) and Caitlin Koczynski (Yardley/Neshaminy) have all been invited to play in the game, which will take place on November 21 during the Division I Final Four.
Tobin is second on the Huskies in scoring this season with 15 goals and four assists. She is tied for sixth in Division II with 0.88 goals per game.
Bloskey has scored 10 goals and has a team-high nine assists. She has had five game-winning goals this season. Bloskey is fourth in the nation in assists per game (0.53).
Hench is third on the team in scoring with 22 points. She has eight goals and six assists.
Due, a midfielder, has had eight goals and four assists for the Huskies. She has started all 17 games this season.
Carman has anchored a defense that has only allowed 14 goals this season. She also has an assist for the Huskies.
Koczynski has made 54 saves in goal this season. She has a save-percentage of 79.4 and a goals-against average of 0.93.
The game will be played at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC on Saturday, November 21 at 3:30 p.m. The Huskies are back in action Friday when they travel to Millersville. Game time is at 3:00 p.m.
