Bloomsburg Field Hockey is Ranked First in Three National Categories

BLOOMSBURG- The Bloomsburg University field hockey team is ranked first in three NCAA Division II field hockey national categories. Jamie Vanartsdalen (Huntingdon Valley/ Lower Moreland) is ranked number one in three individual categories.

The Huskies, 11-1, 4-0 PSAC East, are ranked first in goals per game with 7.17, scoring margin with 6.42, and points per game with 17.25.

Vanartsdalen is ranked first in points per game with 4.5, goals per game with 1.75, and assists with one per game. Vanartsdalen, who became NCAA Division II's all-time leading field hockey scorer earlier this season, has been named PSAC East player of the week three times this season.

Samantha Kropa Tunkhannock (Lackawanna Trail) is also among the top ranked, placing fourth in points per game with 2.67, fifth in goals per game with 1.08, and eighth in assists with 0.5 per game.

The Huskies will host East Stroudsburg on Wednesday, October 8th at 6:00 p.m.
