Bloomsburg Drops to No. 5 in Regional Football Rankings

BLOOMSBURG- The Bloomsburg University football team has dropped to the fifth spot in the latest NCAA Division II Regional Football Poll.

The poll, which determines playoff seeding in each region, is released every Monday and has the Huskies ranked fifth Super Regional One after back-to-back losses to Shippensburg and West Chester. West Liberty remained at the top while Shippensburg moved back to third and California (PA) jumped up to second. Those two teams will face each other this weekend for the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) championship. East Stroudsburg moved up from the eighth spot to number six. The top six schools from each region make the playoffs, while the first two seeds receive first-round byes.

The Huskies host Gannon in a PSAC crossover matchup this Saturday at noon.
