March 28, 2007
BLOOMSBURG- The Bloomsburg University football team will begin spring practices on Thursday, March 29th. The Huskies take the field looking to defend their 2006 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East and NCAA Northeast Region titles.
Bloomsburg capped a stellar 2006 season with a trip to the national semi-finals at Northwest Missouri State where they fell to the eventual national runner-up Bearcats. Overall, the Huskies went 12-2 in 2006 with their only other loss coming at Division I-AA James Madison University.
NCAA regulations allow teams 15 practices over a 29-day period in the spring. The Huskies will use their 15 practice dates from March 29th to April 28th and will wrap up the spring workouts on the 28th with the annual Maroon and Gold game scheduled for 11:00 a.m. at Redman Stadium.
