BLOOMSBURG -The Bloomsburg University baseball team split a doubleheader with Millersville University on Friday afternoon. The Huskies lost game one 7-5, in eight innings, but rebounded with a 13-5 win in game two.
In game one, the Huskies took an early advantage in the top of the first inning. Two batters later, the Huskies took advantage of a Millersville error as Ward and Austin both scored to make the score 4-0.
Ferdinand tripled in Jarrod Kramer (Orwigsburg/Blue Mountain) on the next at bat to give the Huskies a 5-0 lead. The Huskies added another when Corey Eisenhart (York/Dover/Hagerstown CC) scored on a sacrifice fly in the fourth inning. The Huskies would continue to pour it on in the fifth inning.
