8th annual Dance Minor Concert presents vast array of dance styles

BLOOMSBURG— Bloomsburg University will host its 8th annual Dance Minor Concert, Together We Shape, on Sunday, April 22 at 3 p.m. and Monday, April 23, at 7:30 p.m. in Haas Center for the Arts’s Mitrani Hall. The concert will cover a vast array of dance styles and will feature seven works developed by guest faculty member, C. Anthony Cole, four student choreographers, mentored by faculty member and artistic director, Julie Petry and guest artist and alumnus, Dre’Land Goar.

The themes explored in the concert will target the current social landscape and deliver powerful imagery connecting energy, music, expression and visual meaning focusing on gun violence, grief, racism and sexism.

The concert is free and open to the public.
