High school art featured in campus exhibit

BLOOMSBURG — The Department of Art and Art History at Bloomsburg University reviewed the art portfolios of 32 high school students from 10 schools on Saturday, April 30, and Monday, May 2. The portfolio reviews were used to select participants for an exhibit in BU’s Haas Art Gallery.

The following students have been selected for exhibition in BU’s Haas Art Gallery:

Evie Allport, Sid Amadon, Kayley Dillon, Major Hughes, MacKenzie Johnson, Ashley Kope, Foster Krupp and Ashley Shannon, all of Bloomsburg Area High School; Alexis Auman, Morgan Catherman, Chris Kalcich, Paetyn Klinger, Kaelley Krause, Erin Reed, Anna Shamory and Brandon Walter, Selinsgrove Area High School; Adriana Barrera, Warrior Run High School.

Gabriella Delbo, Olivia Greene and Mackenna Shively, Southern Columbia Area High School; Leah Haney, Brooke Kester, Kiersten Marshall, Hadley Wiktor, Mikayla Wright and Linda Liu Yang, Danville High School; Olivia Hunt and Morgan Weber, North Penn-Liberty High School; Lexus Mordan, Millville Area Junior Senior High School; Hannah Sheppard, Loyalsock Township High School; Jacob Ulicny, Mahanoy Area High School; and Alicia M. Williams, Palisades High School.

The Haas Art Gallery exhibition will run from May 11 to June 3, opening with a reception Wednesday, May 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. and featuring an awards ceremony at 7 p.m. when the names of three students selected for cash or tuition scholarship awards will be announced.
