BLOOMSBURG—Before they may step onto the stage for their diplomas, graduating art studio and art history students at Bloomsburg University must present their best work at the annual Spring Senior Exit Show. This year’s show will run from Tuesday, April 26, to Saturday, May 7, at the Gallery at Greenly Center, 50 E. Main Street, Bloomsburg. Admission is free and open to the public.
As a final requirement, each student will present a selection of his or her best artwork and deliver a 15- to 20-minute presentation that describes the work, current philosophy, and plans for furthering their careers.
Presenting art history majors are Olivia Bene, Hazleton; Aisha Bucanelli, Kulpmont; Kelsey Hughes, Danville; Jaqueline Whitman, Philadelphia; and Conner Simon, Honesdale.
Art studio majors showcasing their talents are Kelsey Leck, Shickshinny, painting; Jennifer Felegi, Lancaster, drawing; Justin Mackenzie, Mount Carmel, drawing and painting; Caitlyn McDemus, Pottsville, sculpture and photography; Matthew Seamon, Hazle Township, graphic design; and Cierra Fields, Philadelphia, graphic design.
A reception and student lectures will be held on Tuesday, April 26, with presentations by art history majors from 10:30 a.m. to noon, and art studio majors from 1:15 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The gallery will be open Mondays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to noon and 2 to 4 p.m.; Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 4 p.m.; Thursdays from 1 to 4 p.m.; and Fridays from 2 to 4 p.m.
