For Immediate Release:  Jan. 30, 2015

BLOOMSBURG — Tango Buenos Aires presents “Song of Eva Perón,” a dramatic dance representation of Argentina’s fiercest first lady, as part of Bloomsburg University’s Celebrity Artist Series.

Tango Buenos Aires will perform on Saturday, Feb. 21, at 8 p.m. in Haas Center for the Arts, Mitrani Hall. Tickets are $30 for adults and $15 for children and BU students.

Featuring dancers, singers and instrumentalists, Tango Buenos Aires has established a reputation throughout the Americas, Europe and Far East for its authentic portrayal of the Argentine tango, a combination of African and Spanish history embodied by demanding dance moves.

The performance is inspired by the life of Argentina’s former first lady, Eva Perón, depicting her famed rise to power in the 1930s to her death in 1952.
