‘Shaping Sound’ brings music to life on stage

BLOOMSBURG— Dancers featured on the television programs “Dancing with the Stars” and “So You Think You Can Dance” will show their skills in “Shaping Sound: Dance Reimagined” a fast-paced music and dance performance, as part of Bloomsburg University’s Celebrity Artist Series.

“Shaping Sound” will be offered on Sunday, Nov. 9, at 8 p.m. in the Haas Center for the Arts, Mitrani Hall. Tickets are $35 for adults and $17 for children and BU students.

Featuring a combination of talented dancers, “Shaping Sound” was created by Emmy Award-nominated choreographers Travis Wall, Nick Lazzarini, Teddy Forance and Kyle Robinson, who also appeared on the Oxygen reality TV show, “All the Right Moves.”

Using a combination of jazz, modern, ballet, hip-hop, and free style dance moves, “Shaping Sound” has become a world-wide hit among audiences of all ages.

  • “Jekyll & Hyde”, the dazzling and dark National Broadway tour – Sunday, March 29, 2015, 8 p.m. in the Haas Center for the Arts, Mitrani Hall. Tickets: $45.
  • Take 6, six voices combine to form the most awarded a cappella group in history – Thursday, April 2, 2015, 8 p.m. in the Haas Center for the Arts, Mitrani Hall. Tickets: $30.
  • Rani Arbo & Daisy Mayhem, American Spiritual, 150 years of American music in one event – Friday, April 17, 2015, 7:30 p.m. in Carver Hall, Kenneth S. Gross Auditorium. Tickets $25.
