Wind Ensemble treats audience to movie night

BLOOMSBURG—Bloomsburg University’s Wind Ensemble will treat its audience to a night at the movies on Wednesday, Nov. 12, beginning at 7:30 p.m. in Haas Center for the Arts, Mitrani Hall.

Under the direction of Stephen Clickard, chair of music, theatre and dance, the Wind Ensemble will perform symphonic treatments of music from classic and epic films in their concert “BU Winds Meet the Movies,” including selections from “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” “Star Wars,” “The Cowboys,” “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” and “Bridge on the River Kwai.”

In addition, the ensemble will feature Charisse Baldoria, BU piano instructor, on the Beethoven Quintet for Piano and Wind Instruments in E flat, opus 16.
