BLOOMSBURG — Registration is open for a series of hands-on, adventure and education-based summer camps for ages 8 to 13 at Bloomsburg University’s upper campus, led by BU’s Quest program.
Students will be able to participate in a variety of Quest activities during the camps, including the 50-foot climbing tower, 200-foot zip lines, rafting or kayaking, team building and field games. Weekly sessions will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays from June 10 through the week of Aug. 12. Cost of the weekly camps is $185 per camper.
A Leader-In-Training program for 14- to17-year-olds will be also offered on June 8 and 9. This weekend-long training will focus on developing the leadership skills teens need to assist with the camps for younger students.At the conclusion, they will be able to serve in an assistant leadership role during one of the adventure camps. Admission to this program is application-based and open to a limited number of participants. Cost is $100 per person.
