BLOOMSBURG — The Rioult Dance Company will bring modern dance to Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania’s Haas Center for the Arts, Mitrani Hall, on Saturday, March 26, at 7 p.m. The performance is a part of the 25th anniversary Celebrity Artist Series and general admission is $30.
The Rioult Dance Company was founded in 1994 by former French track and field star, Pascal Rioult. Rioult moved to the United States to study modern dance in 1981 and has dedicated his life to perfecting his own choreographic style. Based in New York City, the nine-member company tours nationally and internationally.
They have been invited to perform at venues and festivals, including Lincoln Center Out-of-Doors, the Tamaulipas Festival and Le Grand Théâtre De Québec.
The members of the company will offer a gallery talk one hour prior to their performance.
Remaining programs in this season’s Celebrity Artist Series, all in Haas Center for the Arts, Mitrani Hall, are:
- “Spring Awakening,” Friday, April 8, at 8 p.m. Tickets: $30
- Jazz composer and vibraphonist Stefon Harris, Friday, April 29, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets: $30
