The first, "A Memory, A Monologue, A Rant and A Prayer" will be presented Tuesday and Wednesday, Feb. 3 and 4, at 8 p.m. in the Kenneth S. Gross Auditorium in Carver Hall. The second production is "The Vagina Monologues" offered Thursday and Friday, Feb. 5 and 6, also at 8 p.m. in the Kenneth S. Gross Auditorium in Carver Hall.
Tickets for each show are $5 per person at the door but, if attending both productions, tickets are two for $8. All proceeds benefit V-Day, Columbia-Montour and Beyond Violence women's centers and Columbia-Montour Family Health.
V-Day is a movement designed to promote creative events to increase awareness, raise money and revitalize the spirit of existing anti-violence organizations. It creates attention for the fight to stop violence against women and girls. The 'V' in V-Day represents victory, valentine and vagina.
